Shore Excursion in Rome Italy

Your  driver will pick you up at you ship at 8.00 am and drive you to Rome (approx, 1:30 hour,). We will meet directly by your ship and then we will accompany you to the centre of the city where we will start your private tour. Our first stop will be the famous Circus Maximus. We shall then continue on to come upon one of the most recognized monuments, The Coliseum.

Obviously we will go directly through the entrance gates without waiting in any lines. We will visit The Forum of Caesar, The Forum of Trajan and ascending up Capitoline Hill, will be able to admire the splendid panorama of the Roman Forum.Once you have discovered the Roman Forum we will head towards Venezia Square," Altar of the Nation" also known as "The Wedding Cake"We will then continue on to Spanish Steps and the Fountain of Trevi, where there is an age old tradition of throwing a coin into the fountain, guaranteeing your return to Rome. After visiting the Trevi fountain we suggest a short break in Navona Square where the famous "Fountain of Four Rivers", by Bernini, stands in the centre of the square.  During the tour you will have a car or van at your disposal with your own personal driver, a Roman born native, fluent in English. He or she will be able to provide you with further knowledge of art and history and interesting tid-bits that will satisfy all your curiosities and quench your thirst for knowledge. After your lunch we will meet an official Guide, authorized by the Vatican to skip waiting in the long line (which can last up to two hours!) to enter the Vatican Museums. Our Vatican Tours are always done in small groups and are led by articulate and enthusiastic tour guides. Their wit and knowledge make the labyrinth of the Vatican City, the smallest country in the world, a cinch to visit – and all in 3 hours approx. Stroll the Vatican Museums with us, which house over 9 miles of the most extensive collection of art in the world. Experience Michelangelo’s famous Creation of Adam with your own eyes as you explore the Sistine Chapel and wander Raphael’s Rooms. Be humbled by the imposing beauty of Saint Peter’s Basilica, where you will encounter another of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, La Pietà. Admire the magnificent Saint Peter’s Square, as your guide points Bernini’s ingenious use of optical illusion. After all of this returning back to the ship.
